I installed a power 832 in my home about 4 months ago. Up until now every thing has been working fine. This morning when I got up I triped the motion detector. I then remembered that I armed the system in away mode before I went to bed. I had the system programed to page my cell phone in addition to contacting the central station. My alarm system keeps calling my cell for a while the it results in a system trouble ( could not communicate with central station ). I would like to find out how to have my alarm system page my cell phone without it resulting in a system trouble. Any help would be greatly apprecaited.

The 832 calling device can call a central monitoring station in a few modes. It can also call a pager mode. There is no special mode for cell phone.
Actually the modem (in your panel) when it call's the central need an handshahe and a kissof signal emitted by the central monitoring station.
When it comes to call a pager, the modem open the line and as soon it's on the line drops the info's ex.8888-31 (thats what we call 4-2 transmission)and then hangs up. There is no way to confirm the message had been received or not.
When the panel call the central it will try a few times then (by default it is 8 times) and then your keypad will be informed you that there was a lack of communication.
The only other way you could send your information through the system having the phone line out of service is by using alarm cell phone device that come in service when the phone line is out. It will send through cell phone network
