Do most building codes allow for the use of flexible copper tubing for LP runs within a house? I ask, because I called a HVAC contractor for an estimate on installing black pipe from the point of entry of the copper tubing to the house from the outdoor tank and the service tech installed copper tubing!
And on top of it, I was charged for 7 hours of labor for a 40' straight (linear)run with 2 tees; one for range and one for clothes dryer! All of this was unobstructed access (below joist level in basement), so I feel that 7 hours labor was "milking it," at $57.00/ hour plus parts! My main concern is whether copper is code?

Codes vary considerably from area to area. For example: In my service area, two adjacent counties; one allows copper, the other does not.
I too think there was some milking going on. It should not take 7 hours to do the job in black steel pipe, even if any cutting & threading was done by hand.
