A week or so back I posted a problem I was having with my Generac Guardian 7kw Stanby generator. What was happening was that during the weekly auto-exercise mode, it would shutdown indicating a low-oil fault. Oil level was fine, and restarting the auto-excerciser would result in a successful 12 minute run. This weekend, same issue, low-oil fault. However, when I restarted it, it ran for 4 minutes, than shutdown with an Overspeed fault. I have calls into 2 electricians in my area (southern MetroWest MA) via the Generac website, but am still waiting to hear from them.
My initial guess is some sort of board failure, but I'm honestly clueless with this problem.
Any ideas?
Thanks.

it could be the logic board but the best thing to do is wait for a certified generac repair person. everyday electricians or small engine mechanics are not familiar with the electronics in those systems. i've sold about 20 various gaurdians and only had one bad board.
