I have a Carrier gas furnace. On the outside of the house there is a wire going to the AC unit with three wires(red, green,& white). The red and white are connected together(I assume they go to the thermostat). My dogs chewed through the wire and now the fan blower motor in the house is constantly running and I have no thermostat functions at all. I reconnected the wires and it does not change anything. The furnace pilot is on but I cannot call for heat/cool from the thermostat. This happened once before and I reconnected the wires and it was fine. I am confused as to why it wont work this time. Please can someone shed some light and maybe tell me what I am doing wrong.

Sounds like it may of shorten out on you, and may of damaged the control board.. But if you have pilot light, then your system may not have a board.
How old is the furnace..
As for the red and white outside.. The Red wire should tie into the Y from t-stat (most likely at the furnace t-stat hook up), and the white wire should go to Common side on furnace.
