I have an "Air Ease" (Johnson Corporation HAS 105A K07) older model natural gas Forced air furnace that has a standing pilot. I would like to convert it to Electronic or hot surface ignition.Good/Bad idea?. Recomendations...
Thanks in advance for any information.

Are you having trouble with the ignition system? If no, I would not do anything.. I don't think you will recoup cost for a long time & now you will have expensive parts to replace should any of them fail. Just my opinion

MBK3 is right & as a side benefit of the standing pilot, it helps to keep moisture under control, especially in the summer.
