What can you spray/apply to a snowblower so the snow does not stick to the chute?
What to use to protect the same from rust?

Vegetable oil sprays, WD-40, spray on silicone, paint it with John Deere slip plate (black in color), all will help make the chute slipperier, but require regular reappilication. To prevent rust, the best solution is to sand and repaint after each season, especially the chute (if metal).
