how do you adjust the blade for exact 90' cuts on the saw?

Generally any table saw includes a section in the manual on adjusting the 90 and 45 degree stops for blade tilt. It usually refers to two hex bolts or screws that control where the saw assembly stops when the degree indicator points to 45 and 90. Are you having trouble getting the indicator to point to 90 or when it points at 90 is the sawblade not at the correct angle? Use a speed square or combination square to check for accuracy. Many saws are not correctly set when they come from the factory and must be manually adjusted to perform correctly.

Also, the wheel on the side of the saw (usually the right side) is used to adjust the angle of the blade and by turning it all the way counterclockwise (if this is a left tilt saw) you should be able to get it to zero out at 90.

If your saw didn't come with a manual you should be able to use the model number to download the manual from the craftsman website.

If you absolutely can't find the manual you might either want to look for a parts diagram or take a while to explore the saw carriage and see if you can find two screws sticking out on either side that look as though they might adjust.

After all the measuring and adjusting, to test it rip a short 2x4 and then flip it end for end and see if it is aligned. If isn't exactly the same, then you're not at 90 degrees.
