I have just framed some openings that will be closet doors. Because these are in dormers, I could only frame so high. The rough in's in for the pre hung I was looking at requires 80" for the 78" frame. I only have 78" to the header hence need a 76" door. Is there any problem with cutting the frame and the door in order to make it fit?
Thanks!
P.S. Wood frame - pine door.

As long as the doors are solid core, you should have no problem cutting 2" off of them. If they were hollow core, then you would need to fill the bottom back in once it's cut off.
