The bathroom in our new house has pink tile on the walls that my wife does not like. We'd like to put wainscoting over the tile as opposed to trying to remove the tile. Can anyone recommend an adhesive that will stick to the tile and will handle the moisture from the bathroom? Do I need to sand the tile before I apply the wainscoting? Thanks in advance for your help.

Liquid Nails should work. If moisture is a concern seal raw edges of wainscoting. Make sure there is enough space behind toilet to accommodate the wainscoting.

Treat the wainscotting with a water-based polyurethane if its stained. The others will yellow (turn amber) over time, but that may suit your wife's decor.
Don't put wainscotting in the tub/shower. Better to add a tub surround.
