I have a New Yorker furnace about 6 years old and uses a Power Venter.
Last year I had a problem with the tube that comes out of the Control unit to the Power Venter clogging preventing my furnace from starting. Well similar problems are occurring and the other day I had to tap on the tube a couple of times and the furnace finally started.
Is this a common problem? Is it the control unit? Why does the tube keep clogging (if it is the tube)?

Thanks

Never heard of this... I did a search, and came up with boilers.

Is this a boiler ?? or forced air?

Have you removed the tube and made sure it was cleared?? Knocking on it may move the blockage for a short time..

Are we talking that 1/4 inch black rubber tubing? - or, that bigger clear tubing?

If the latter, could be the condensate tube is backed up due to gook.

It's forced hot water. I blew air into the 1/4" metal tubing and it almost sounded like something popped. It's been running fine now for a few days.
