I have a gas water heater and it seems to be leaking water out of the seal connected to the tank that leads up to the flume. It is leaking a lot of water and turning off the cold water supply does not seem to correct the problem. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Check all connections for leaks. Otherwise, you probably have a leaking tank which is not repairable.
