My kenmore gas dryer lite and heats for about four minutes, then the flame shuts down , it will try to light again ,the glow lighter comes on but no gas will light. If SHUT IT OFF AND WAIT ABOUT 10 MINUTES IT WILLSTART UP AGAIN., BUT i HAVE TO WAIT. The ignitor and snsor have been replaced. can you help me? thanks, hubert

Hello Hubert. Welcome to my Gas Appliances topic and the Do-It-Yourself Web Site.
Very common problem often caused by a restricted venting system or defective solenoid coils, which are located on the top of the gas valve.
Unplug the dryer from the electrical power source. Turn off the gas to the machine at the gas supply line. There should be a shut off valve on the supply pipe for this purpose.
Once that is accomplished, pull the machine out so you can access behind it. Being careful not to damage the gas line or venting system.
Once that is done, disconnect the vent from the dryer. The test is to remove the entire vent from the dryer and dry a normal load of clothes.
If the same problem does not occur, the venting system is restricted. Cleaning and clearing the venting system is required. Do not forget to check the vent hoods flapper door. Flapper must be freely able to move.
If the same problem happens, the problem is elsewhere within the dryer. Best bet before attempting to replace parts, is to do the testing suggested above. It is the most common problem and least costly to resolve the problem.
If that does not resolve the problem, read the existing questions on the subject of dryers that do not provide heat or provide much heat. Doing so will quickly provide you with additional information on how to resolve the problem.
To clean the venting system you'll most likely have to remove the venting plastic tubing if plastic is used. Best bet is to simply replace it with new tubing. It's inexpensive & easy to work with.
If the venting system is metal tubing, it may have to be disconnected in sections etc to access the inside and clean it out. Do not forget to inspect and clean as needed the outside vent hood. Inside the hood is a flapper vent. It should freely be able to flap up and down. If not free it up and or replace it.
All information contained above is generic to most free standing standard types of gas of any type and or most electrical dryers. The machine you have may vary slightly and the procedure may vary slightly.
