I have a Hitachi HD TV with DVD hook to it. When playing audio CD the screen is blank with a bluish tint on it. Question is, will prolong use of audio CDs damage the Picture tube? Your comments are appreciated.

Anytime the TV is on the pictube is degrading. The damage you are most concerned about is burn in. If the picture is solid blue then I don't see a problem. Do you need the TV on to play CDs?

joed, Thanks for your reply. I don't know what else to do, I did turn off the TV, But it turn off the audio too.
