I have a front loading Kenmore washing machine that vibrates a good bit on spin cycle. It appears to be balanced and is working properly. It is installed on a vinyl floor in my laundry room. The laundry room is located on the main level, above a basement. The floor is supported by wood joists at 16" on center.
I can feel the floor vibrating in the adjacent room.
I'd like to install a ceramic floor in this area but am concerned that the vibrations will cause it to crack.
Any ideas??
Thanks

My washer is in the same type of room as yours. My Whirlpool does the same thing. It seems to vibrate more when I do a 'Normal' load rather than a 'Wash and Wear'. Try to observe if there is a difference in the spin cycles on the different types of wash cycles.
I wish I had a solution.
