gas is leaking from the bottom of my go cart engine from a clear tub the size of my thumb to some filter near the piston cover metal thingy. its got a black and silver float looking thing, how do i stop it.

float type carb? has a fuel bowl on the bottom of the carb? take the bowl off, check the float for sticking, fuel in it( if its heavy or sloshes, it'll sink, leaving the inlet needle open, letting gas flow uncontrolled) next would be float setting, should be even with the carb body when carb is flipped over. next would be to see if the inlet needle or seat is damaged, here again letting fuel flow uncontrolled.... and do check the oil for a gas smell, if it smells as such, change it before its run. if you want to learn a little more about small engines, try and find a haynes manual if you can.
