Hi, sorry can't remember what kind of washer I have right now at home. Problem: white residue on my clothes. Looks like compressed lint or even soap residue. I use liquid soap & I've even tried running clothes through more than once. I talked to the guy I bought it from and he says he's never heard of such a thing. There isn't a lint trap of any kind in this machine. I've checked. Help, whenever I wash my darks I have to go over with a damp cloth & lint brush before I can wear them. :(

Since you use liquid soap and it wipes off with a "damp" cloth, I would say it is lint. The pump on the washer probably has some type of filter or screen and it is clogged up. The lint, having no place to escape, goes back onto your clothes. May need a serviceperson for this one unless you feel like tearing into the pump. Good luck.
