My 8 year old Toshiba projection set has started exhibiting strange behavior. I'm seeing multiple very thin solid color lines curving in an arc from about mid screen height from left to right. Happens about every two-three days for about five minutes at a time. Not sure if this is a convergence problem or some other component about to go out.
Is this likely something that can be replaced by a DIYer (can hear the laughter already)? Any suggestion as to what it might be and associated cost? Last in-home repair was about $600. If this is likely to be in that range, I might bite the bullet and replace the set w/HD.
