I have a receiver that has these connections for the AMFM antenna:

But the AMFM antenna that I have splits into two connectors, a F connector
or the other as shown in the picture here:

How do I hook one to the other?

Hey , that's a Yamaha, my receiver looks exactly like that.

Do those leads go to separate units, or to some splitter device, which is likely a VHF/UHF splitter. An AM antenna for a home stereo receiver is usually a loop affair with a twisted pair lead. An FM antenna could be a 75 ohm lead, or a T-shaped twinlead antenna( made with similar materal to the twinlead in the photo), which I have connected to my yamaha receiver.
