We are most of the way through an install of Oak hardwood floor for a client. She asked today about what cleaning products to use or avoid. We weren't sure so we pulled out the instructions. They say to avoid using water and any cleaning agents, except maybe mild dish soap.
Does this seem normal? Is it just because there are still cracks between the pre-finished boards as opposed to a solid coat of finish on a traditional hardwood floor?
