The appliance is an electric whirlpool apartment size top loader. I have been having problems with the machine shutting off on its own. After smacking it a few times it would work. Everything was fine for a little bit but now it does not power on. The machine has a start button and not a dial to turn it on which means it must be some sort of loose connection.
