Hi, guys and gals..am very new to this forum and truelly appreciate the concept of free advice. I posted about the mitsubishi replacement screen issue. Have not seen any response as of yet. I hope no one took me seriously about throwing the remote at my wife, was just a joke. I had also posted a question about my refridgerater on the appliance section and was answered within a few hours. So any ways, what is the average time to expect a answer?
thanks in advance

A lot of our members and Moderators work at their perspective areas of expertise. This allows them limited time online to answer questions. If someone has an answer they will post it. Sometimes it takes longer than others. We all try to be as quick as possible with answers. Please have patience and someone will answer. Thanks.

The best reason i can give for no one responding is that no one frequenting this board knows how to answer. This particular forum doesn't have a moderator. Plus, I'd venture to say that few people outside of Mitsi has ever had an occasion to replace a screen. When those sets go, its likely not the screen. And the other components are too expensive to replace in todays world.
All you say is its a rear projection, nothing about LCD. So, if its not a rear projection LCD/DLP, you can get a new one for $800-$1000. Yes a lot of money, but just a small incremental cost over a repair.
How much are they charging you for the new screen?
Forgot to add the liability issue. That is also a problem.

Yes, since thats the only thing wrong with it. But I don't think you'll find too many people with knowledge on replacing just the screen.
