I've done laminate flooring before and had problems with spacers because the drywall doesn't meet the floor. The spacers had to be shoved in under the wall and it was very uneven in there due to plaster and whatever else. Then it was extremely tough to remove the spacers after installation.

My next project, I'm not going to remove the baseboards but I'll still have the same problem. Any diagrams and pictures I see show a wall meeting the floor perfectly but it's not the case in my house.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Paul

Crain Tools makes an adjustable wall spacer.

I used scraps of the laminate floor as spacers.

after cutting up a bunch of spacers i realized i had the same problem. solution was runnning a length of 3/16 nylon rope the length of the wall. when finished i just pulled the ropes out at the door jamb.
