I only have "find out as you go" experience when it comes to curtains and drapes, and now that I found this forum, I have a place I can find the hints and tips that I need!
I'm at a loss, which hanging method would work best to achieve a nice look for side panels? How do you get your drapes to have a nice "fold" look, without sewing in pleats? The drapes won't need to be opened or closed, but will remain stationary.
I have some existing curtains that I want to use (previously I had them just on an iron rod) , and can alter if need be.
Thanks,
Jennifer

"casual" panels will never have the perfectly pleated look of pinch pleats, and they weren't meant to. but i've heard you can "train" them to hang a little better by hand fan-folding them & then loosely tying a few pieces of fabric or rope around them (near the top, middle & bottom) & letting them hang that way for a few days.
