Does anyone have a GRUNDFOS......instant hot water heater that is
supposed to give you hot water as soon as the water is turned on
and not sitting while the shower heats up before you can get in?
supposed to save water? etc.........
Any inf. or recommendations. appreciated.......got a new house
and it takes forever before the water is hot in the sinks, shower, etc.
thanks,

I believe you are talking about the Grundfos Comfort System model of retrofit recirculating pumps.

Recirculation of hot water is the answer to a long delay for hot water in a bathroom located at a distance from the heater. Some houses have a dedicated return line installed. If not, then retrofit systems are useful. There are many brands, and Grundfos is a very reliable, well known maker of pumps of all kinds. The Comfort system is easier to install than most, as the pump does not have to be located in the bathroom, and it has the flexibility to install multiple cross-over devices and service more than one bathroom, kitchen, whatever.

I have the same thing at my house and I saw an episode of TOH and they installed an under the sink unit that pumps hot water back through the cold water line till the sensor senses hot water. This helps conserve from just dumping clean water into septic systems as well.
