I have a regular sized exterior door that needs a simple overhang built out over it. It has two 2x4 headers in place from the original build of the house They are both angled like so / \ . The length of each are 37" and there is a 1 1/4" notch in each of them I thought the plan was to build it hip roof style to match the house and with a small porch below with two posts supporting this overhang. I need a plan, a layout with exact measurements so I can build it myself, but I can not find anything. Any ideas/expertise out there? Thanks in advance!

EVEN A SMALL ONE CAN BE CONFUSING. GABLE ROOFS HAVE A RIDGE WHICH CAN BE CENTERD. MOST SPEED SQUARES COME WITH A BOOKLET THAT CAN HELP YOU WITH RAFTER LENGTHS AND ANGLES IF YOU DO NOT ALREADY HAVE ON I WOULD PICK ONE UP THERE FAIRLY CHEAP AND NESCESARY TO BUILD JUST ABOUT EVERYTHING. REMEMBER A COUPLE OF NUMBERS 45 DEGREES AND 22.5 DEGREES. MITRED HIP 22.5 \/___\/ SQUARE HIP 45 l/____\l
