Doors and Windows - Doors before floors or visa versa?

I am doing a major remodel. The first room I completed I put the floor in before the interior door and ended up with a large gap under the doors. I ended up cutting off the jamb a little. :wall:

I am onto the next room, and I am wondering if I should install the door before I install the floor.

Thoughts?

Install the door, and then the flooring. Much easier to shorten the door a bit if need be than it is to shorten the jambs after the fact.
