To anyone here who can help:
I have a 50 inch projection Hitachi . Two Years ago I replaced one of the convergence chips that was going out cauisng the blue colors to mis-aline.
The set has been working flawlessly until a few weeks ago when it stared to power down. It finally went into full shutdown protective mode and based on the Servcie Manual I have ,its has 5 leds thats should dim out indicating where the possilbe problem lies. Looks like its the d953 and d954 which point back to the convergence circuit. Although at times, it will start up and run for
about 10 to 40 seconds with a prefect picture and sound then shut off again.
If anyone can assist, this would be great. For all reasons this is really a good unit and has/had great use and super picture and features.
Thank you for your time:
