I have a 13 year old deck that i'd like to reseal to preserve it. I live on a heavily tree'd lot and the deck has a black areas on it where leave typically accumalate. How do I clean this off?
I've gone two rounds of spraying with bleech + water & tried scrubing lightly.
Any tricks before I bring out the water sealer?

I use Cabot's problem solver cleaner, and brightner
Though if you've done two round of bleach and water, it might be in there but good
Maybe a Jomax/Bleach/water mix
Follow the instructions on the Jomax
That would be my "Big Guns"
PS A nice high quality stain will protect it much better that a sealer
Cabot's "Clear" has a slight gold/brown tint and helps blend discolored areas better

you need to pressure wash the deck to get all the stains and weather look out of it, then let dry for a few days, and seal it on a sunny day.
you can buy a electric pressure washer that will do the job. and u can wash your car or side walks too. do an area in the cornner first, make sure u don't damage the wood. holding the wand closer too the board the more pressure so practice. and if u have an ugly board or stain u can just flip those boards over and re-nail no cutting at all....

I would also reccomend the pressure washer. They are handy to have around, but if the deck is the only real need, try your local rental companies.
