I am going to be covering the walls of my basement with 6 inch tongue and groove knotty pine boards nailed directly to the studs. What is the best way to join the ends of two boards together as to best hide any gaps due to drying of the wood.
Also...how to handle the inside corners as well.
As always...thanks for any help!!

Hopefully the wood was kiln dried and has a low moisture content.
Overlaping 45 degree cuts hide the joint the best.
Inside corners can also be cut at 45` It is very common to insert a piece of trim to hide the inside corner joints.

Thanks for your help. With blindnailing then do I drive a nail through both both boards at the cut (assuming I place each joint at a stud) so one nail goes through both boards???
