My house is a Ranch built on a concrete slab with an extension of the slab to include a front porch covered by an overhanging roof.
I'd like to cover the concrete slab porch with some sort of tile/stone but am not sure what material would be best.
The house is in Orange Co., NY. The temp. probably ranges from 0-100 degrees with sometimes significant snowfall in the winter. :(
The porch measures 7' x 30'. Would I need to include some kind of expansion joints in the tile/stone? and what kind of thinset/mortar should I use?
Sorry for asking what may be obvious questions, this is my first house.
Thanks for any help,
Dan
