We have a shower that isn't getting very hot. When the water is on in the HOT position for several minutes, it only gets luke warm. However, if I then turn on my bathroom sinks hot water, it's immediately very hot. Based on this, I assume our hot water heater is working fine.
Faucet type- pull out "dial" (turns L-R 90 degrees each for HOT/COLD)
Brand name- MOEN
I took off the metal "sleeve" that restricts the L-R movement. Once this was done, I was able to get the water to become a bit warmer (warm-to slightly hot).
Question- Is there something inside this faucet's mechanism that could be corroded or worn out? Or...is this another issue altogether? :wall:
Thanks!

Any suggestions out there?

Your shower faucet may be the "scaldguard" type and is not working properly. I have included the website and toll free phone number for Moen. This may help if you are not sure on the model number. Good luck.
