heres the facts:
Our new kitchens fireclay sink cracked a week after install by licensed plumber. In hindsight i heard it crack. It sounded like a pan warping in a hot oven, if you know what that sound is. The cracks are very fine, and I didnt notice until i had a little water underneath the sink.
It is an undermount and we have granite countertops.
the cracks are emanating from the drain hole. We had a disposer installed at the same time (could it be that the "drain collar" from the disposer is too tight?) Could the sink be too tight of fit in there?
I didnt do any dropping of large objects into the sink, or other heavy duty damage.
My whole kitchen is built around this sink (cabinetry, faucet, granite)so I am just going to have to get the same exact model.
My granite installer had it in his possesion for a week while cutting out out countertops.

Never pour boiling water into solid surface sink. Always run cold water if pouring boiling water to prevent cracking. Plumbing fittings should not be overtightened and garbage disposal should not exceed HP. Failure to follow these safeguards tends to void sink warranty.

It could be that the drain and disposer was overtightend. I am not familiar with this type sink but it should withstand "normal" installation of the necessary fittings. I would contact the manufacturer or the salesperson and ask about it. It could have been a factory crack from the beginning. Good luck.
