Has anyone constructed a large platform that can be raised and lowed with pulleys for use in the garage or basemen? I would appreciate receiving tips on design, cobstruction and the pulleys that were used. The platform will be used for a slot care or model railroad.
Thanks in advance.

I don't have any plans, but did construct a lift-away storage for a vida dinghy
I would like to say that the block and tackle helped tremendously with the lifting lowering
I'm assuming your platform will have some weight to it, so I thought I'd mention it

Thanks! What size block and tackle did you use? Is it something easily available from Home Depot?

That I don't know, as I have had it for years
It was bought pre-Depot
It was at a local hardware or boat store
I will say it was not as big as you'd think considering how heavy the dinghy was
