I am coming to the end of the project of rerunning the plumbing in my house to PEX. In the two bathroom sinks I am running into the problem where some of the PEX valves and the copper sink connections are leaking. They are leaking on the copper side (after the PEX valve). I used Teflon tape, but this doesn't seem to resolve the issue.

The valves came with connectors, but I'm not sure how to attach them on to the copper tubing, without cutting the copper and therefore removing the lip that would hold on the connector.

Is it possible to use the copper connectors, if not how do I run the PEX connector onto the valve?
