i have block walls can i install the vinyl basement window to the block without framing the opening, stock windows will just fit if they must be framed out i have to order them. mike

The manufacturer is the best place for an answer, but most likely yes. As long as you can square them in the opening using shims and fasten them securely, it should be no problem. You may need some finish trim though to hide any gaps (stuffed w/insulation) shims, etc.
