I bought a P68 last week, and it is wonderful. At least it was for a week. Now, I am getting a very tall, lazy, bright orange flame. I also get significant smoke out of the vent, and tons of soot that totally covers the inside of the glass in 5 minutes. What could be wrong? I am not using outside air, which may help if I do, but it worked fine for a week without it.
Please help. :wall: :(

So, as it turns out, the air intake was blocked. I turned it on, tapped on the little metal plate on the inside and it popped open, and started drawing air immediatly. Flame is now nice and heat is great.
Just so you know...

make sure to use a premium pellet, cost a little more, but worth the price for the difference in ash, soot, unburned pellets, etc.. I've been with pellet stoves for 10 to 12 years and stick with lignetics or pinnacle.. always a good pellet for me.. although, prices have gone totally nuts because of "Hurricanes", price of "OIL"... and typical "American Gouging".. still the best heating you can get unless your in the REALLY cold areas....
