In this article it says "Use grates made of C-shaped metal tubes to draw cool room air into the fireplace and circulate warm air back into the room."

Where do I get this kind of grate for my fireplace? I have only seen the typical cast iron ones.
It also says "to reduce heat loss by opening dampers in the bottom of the firebox (if provided)" I am not sure what this meens.
My fireplace extends into the celler to a place where the ashes fall is this a bottom damper? If so do I need to open the door to where the ashes are as well as the door on the bottom of my firebox?

Hello: rUfUnKy
Try the yellow pages in the phone book. Look under the listings of fireplace dealers in your area. They will have what is needed. Some patio furniture or outdoor furniture retail stores also sell fireplaces.
As do some BBQ and fireplace retail stores. Almost all towns have some type or combination of retail store selling an assortment of fireplace appliances with other outdoor items. May be available in appliance parts stores too.
