I am currently building my house and have selected Price Pfister Savannah series fixtures for all tubs, showers, and sinks. My plumber says Price Pfister products are not quality and does not recommend them. He suggests I purchase Delta products because replacement parts are easier to find. I was always under the assumption that Delta was the bottom of the line product.

Any comments from the pros. Price Pfister or Delta?

I prefer Delta. Peerless is the lower grade from Delta; Both brands are made by the Masco Corporation. Brizo is a higher end of Delta. Price Pfister faucets seem to be very troublesome when it comes to repairs/finding parts. Your plumber is right on with the statement. Even if you are getting the faucets for a song and dance, what matters down the road if it costs an arm and leg to fix it.

A common "assumption" is made at big box stores when you ask the opinion of what faucets have the most need for repair parts. It is Delta. The reason? Because it is the most installed faucet in homes, along with the easiest of repairs that allows even the most pratical of users to easily take them apart and replace the parts that make them stop leaking ($4 for seat cups and springs) and allows for the same internal parts to repair numerous fixtures in the home (Kitchen sink faucet, lavatory faucet, tub & shower faucet, laundry tub faucet)

I cannot say the same for Moen or Price Pfister, American Standard or other unfamiliar brands. One thing that makes a mark in the industry is that Delta is the most copied faucet when it comes to their single handle stems, along with seat cups and springs. Obviously it is a product that is worthy of replicating.
