I'm not sure if I'm overcomplicating this or what, maybe someone here can help.
I have 12/2 coming from an outlet to a pullchain fixture, from there I want to add 3 more lights in a row and finally at the end of those lights I would like a switch that will only turn off my 3 new lights not the pullchain or outlet. Not quite sure if this possible. Help!

Yes it is possible.
Run 12/3 from the first switched light the second light to the third light. Run 12/2 to the switch.
At L1 and L2
connect all the white including the fixture white.
Connect blacks but not the fixture black.
Connect all reds and fixture black.
At last light (L3)
Connect incoming white to fixture white.
Connect incoming black to switch cable white.
Connect switch cable black to red and fixture black.
AT switch connect black and white to switch terminals.
