i have a 1990 club car resistor model and i was wondering why my battery cabel would be arcing up on only one battery

Battery cable connections "arc" because they are "loose" or the cable end is damaged or the battery lead terminal is damaged. Check both. If the battery lead terminal is damaged, but the battery is good, you can sometimes use an automotive terminal end or have a battery shop install a new lead terminal. Last, make shure your micro switch or solenoid are not stuck in a "on" position. Things will get real hot and the car could take off by it self. Good luck.
