Over the past 9 months the bathroom ceiling is completely peeling and looks horrible.
We are planning a complete overhaul of this room, however is there a quick fix for this (approximately 12 months).
Thanks! :wall:

Sand the peeling paint, prime with a sealing primer and paint with satin or semi-gloss paint. Peeling paint in a bathroom is usually a moisture problem. Are you running the exhaust fan when the shower is in use?

Thanks,
We do run the exhaust fan but it still seems to stay moist. Our neighbor on the 2nd floor has a similar problem in her bathroom.

Is the exhaust fan working properly? A slow fan or constricted duct work can render the exhaust fan almost useless.

The fan works properly. I had someone in to take a look at it.
Looking at the situation at hand it looks like they just threw some paint up there without prepping it first and now it is just flaking/peeling.

Our plan is:
1.) Clean up their mess so that it looks better for about 12 months, and for some visitors we will host during the holidays.

2.) Completely gut and redo the bathroom next fall, for which we are hiring a contractor for a full remodel.
