I would like to make a rock wall behind my wood stove. We have a lot of different rock where I live (mountains). What is the simpelist way to do this or should I buy cultured stone ( $10 per foot). I require about 70 square feet. I have seen many acreages where people have done this. Thanks. IHD :wall:

If you have the stones, why not use them? Why pay for what you already have? Just make sure of the distance you require for the mortar you use. Where I am at, fieldstone rules. Good luck.
