Hello everyone. I have a question that I haven't been able to find the answer to despite reading dozens and dozens of threads...
I'm replacing an old cast iron tub with a new Kohler acrylic one. I want to use a mortar bed to avoid the "giving and creaking" I've heard about.
Can anyone suggest what material I should use for the bed and mixed to what consistency? Any other tips?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Any motar mix will do, mix up adding water slowly, not too soupy.

OR.... you could use pre-mix in a 5 gallon bucket. Good luck.

I would also lay some plastic down on the floor to avoid moisture damage while the mortar dries.
