I live in the UK and my house was built in 1901. Previous owners have bricked up the fireplaces in the bedrooms on the first floor and have not put in any air bricks
The fireplaces in the rooms directly below are either open or have been bricked up but have large ventillation grills on them.
Can someone please advise whether or not the bedroom fireplaces should also have an air bricks inserted, or are they ok being completely sealed up by bricks?
thanks
