I have berber carpet in my basement and water damaged an area in a corner of about 4' by 4'. I've had the crack in the foundatin fixed so I'm hoping this is the extent of the damage. I'm pretty sure I have to replace this part of the rug because the smell is getting worse every day from the water. I have left over matching berber that would cover this area. I'm just looking for any advice on how to get rid of the bad (wet) and replace it with the good (dry) and making it look as seamless as possible.

Thanks

I know this is a do it yourself website, but your best bet is to call a pro. By the time you rent the tools and purchase supplies you'll have probably spent less money on a pro.
