I am looking for some help with my chandeleir... It has 5 bulbs and 1 needed to be changed. While the light was on, I unscrewed the dead bulb and it popped out of the socket and left the base still screwed into the fixture. This resulted in tripping the breaker. I used pliers to get the base of the bulb out of the fixture and reset the breaker and the light still does not work. Can someone tell me if I blew the light fixture? Or is it something else?
I appreciate any help you can provide.

Are you sure you reset the breaker? Did you push it first to the off position and then to the on position? Does the other stuff on the same circuit work okay?

Yes the breaker is reset. The lights in the garage work and they are on the same breaker.

Current high enough to trip a breaker can cause enough heat to open up a weak connection. Unfortunately, it could be any place on the circuit, so you may have a lot of places to look. You might consider investing $3 in a simple naked-bulb fixture. Take down the chandelier and install the naked-bulb fixture. Whether or not it works will tell you whether or not the problem is in the chandelier.
