Hi everyone.

Since Friday, we are owner !!!
Our house has been built in 1987, 3 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms for a total of 1450 sq ft.
And we have popcorn ceiling everywhere !!!

I began to remove the popcorn ceiling in the hall.
With a water spray and a ceiling texture scraper it's not difficult (but dirty).
The only thing, in some areas, a part of the paper surface is gone.

How can i fix the ceiling ?

Just sand the wall ?

Thanks !!!!

hi
if you dont have to many spots used drwall mud and cover the spots
if you have lots you can skim the ceilling and wait till dry and lightly sand it

It might be a good idea to prime any exposed gypsum prior to patching. This will eliminate any chance of the surrounding paper lifting.

I would not just sand the ceiling. I would get some mud/spackle and cover any imperfections in the ceiling and then sand them smooth. Any imperfections will show very clearly if you intend to do a flat paint on the ceiling.

Good luck.
