The house I am buying has a small addition on the rear. It is held up by (2) 4x4's and the other side is attached to the house. I would like to put concrete block under it and eliminate the 4x4's. I know I have to pour a footer for each pillar but I was wondering what the best way to raise the additon enough to fit the block under it and how to attach the block to the footer (rebar I assume) and to the wooden structure. Thanks. BTW the addition is approx. 4' off the ground.
