I have a sink that is clogged with my daughter's long hair....the clog is around the top valve, which would be difficult to remove to clear it. Any suggestions on a good way to clean it out? I have tried chemicals, but they don't seem to work well on hair.

Get in under the sink cabinet, put a bucket under the drain and remove the trap section at the bottom. You'll probably need a pair of channelocks or a strap wrench for the fittings.
