Hello Everyone- Here goes. At my back exterior door I have a double electric switch that controls the outside light and the fireplace fan. What I want to know is that I want to install to flood lights at the back of each corner of my house. Can I change the double switch to a triple switch and tie the flood light into the new switch. I know it would be hard to fish the wire down the wall to the switch but I'm sure I can do it. Can someone tell me the best way to do the wiring to both flood lights and the new switch. Also what size wiring would I need. Thanks-Zturbo

Maybe you can do it. You will need to turn off the power ans open the switch box. Tell all the wires and there connections to each other and the switches.
If you only have a white and a black wire on each switch and no others connected together in the box, then you for sure can not do it

I took the cover off the outlet this weekend and there are 3 different romex coming into box. This is a double box with 2 switches. I forgot to mention in my original message that there is also a single box above the double box. This is for the ignite on the fire place, but all together in the double box is 3 romex wires coming in. Does this help anyones answer to me on far as tying in a set of 2 flood lights into the double box. Thanks

It sounds like this will probably work. Can you provide the rest of the information (i.e., the connections) that Joe requested?
